Welcome to my coding website! I'm John Lu Helsby, a software engineer and a final-year Computer Science & Mathematics BSc (Hons) student at the University of Bath, United Kingdom. I previously undertook Software Engineering internships at Meta, Amazon, AWS, and Wolfram Research. I will be returning to Meta as a full-time Software Engineer in August 2026.
I'm a passionate believer in the power of computing and technology, appropriately applied, to solve important problems and benefit humanity as a whole. I'm particularly interested in scalable systems, distributed computing, and artificial intelligence.
